- Does GroundWork give me a readiness score?
- No, and deliberately so. GroundWork never gives a score or a percentage. The readiness check shows how ready you are, requirement by requirement: what you are missing, what appears satisfied and should be checked, and what needs your confirmation. A response cannot be marked ready while a mandatory item is unresolved unless you record an override.
- What is an AI document credit?
- One credit is one document read. Each document is read once: uploading the same document again costs nothing. Starter includes 400 credits a month, Professional 1,500 and Enterprise 5,000. Credit top-ups are coming soon.
- Which plan do I need?
- Free if you only need job management. Starter if one person prepares your tenders. Professional if a team of up to five bids, and Enterprise if bidding is constant across the business. Every account starts with a 14-day full trial, and you choose your plan in Settings, Billing, or stay on Free when the trial ends.
- How do the AusTender alerts work?
- Set up to 10 watchlists by keyword, region and contract value. GroundWork checks the AusTender public feed daily, puts matches in your watchlist inbox, and you accept one into your register in a click. Alerts are free on every plan and use no AI credits.
- What does the AI read?
- The documents you upload: tender packs, so GroundWork can list the requirements and returnables, and your own documents, such as insurance certificates and capability statements, to build your Company Record. Document text is treated as data, never as instructions, and anything the AI is unsure of is flagged for you to confirm.
- Can GroundWork submit a tender for me?
- No. GroundWork and your AI assistant draft; a person reviews, downloads the package and submits it through the tender portal. The assistant cannot send, sign, submit, delete or attest anything.
- Does my data leave Australia?
- Your data is stored in Sydney. When GroundWork's AI reads a document, that processing happens in the United States. You can export everything, or delete your account yourself, at any time.
- Which states does GroundWork cover?
- The tender reading, gap report and watchlist work for any Australian tender, and the watchlist follows the Commonwealth AusTender feed. The register library is Victorian today, covering the Construction Supplier Register, Austroads prequalification, Local Jobs First and the Social Procurement Framework.
- Is the job management really free?
- Yes. The jobs suite is free forever, even on the Free plan: the client book and bookings, quoting, jobs as projects, crew and time approvals, budget against actual, invoices and progress claims, sign-off, job packs and the payroll export. The Free plan covers one full seat and five active jobs; paid plans remove the job limit.
- How does GroundWork compare to simPRO or Fergus?
- Both are established job management tools that businesses pay for monthly. GroundWork's jobs suite covers the client book and bookings, quotes accepted online, jobs as projects, crew time approvals, budget against actual, invoices and progress claims with card payment, on-site sign-off, job packs and a payroll export, free. GroundWork's focus is the tender system that sits alongside it.
- Does it work with Xero?
- Yes. Send invoices to Xero as draft sales invoices from GroundWork. Payroll exports as a CSV.
- Is there a GroundWork app?
- GroundWork is a web app you can install on your phone's home screen, with camera capture for receipts and licence photos.
